What We Believe
Our foundation of belief is the Bible. We believe it to be God's message to humanity. It is completely true and trustworthy. Some passages require careful interpretation, but the central messages of the Bible are clear.
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
2 Timothy 3:16
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is active in the world today. He can work work through natural means or supernaturally. The gifts and ministries mentioned in the Bible are still around today. As He is also a God of order and peace, we will follow Biblical guidelines in practicing these gifts.
"And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with forever, the Spirit of Truth."
The Human Response
We believe that Christianity should engage both our intellect and our emotions. Having a relationship with God does not mean we have to check our intelligence at the door. We come to Him by faith and he receives us.
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength."
